We're heading to university campuses starting in late August, and we can't wait to meet you! Applications open at the same time, so mark your calendar.
How Our Process Works
We use a priority deadline system to ensure every application gets thoughtful consideration. Here's what that means for you:
At LPL Financial, we offer internship and full-time entry-level opportunities across all of our business functions, from Technology to Sales, and beyond. Visit our internship and full-time program pages to discover the role that's right for you.
The summer internship runs June through August, Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week over a full 10 weeks. You are expected to participate for the entire program onsite in one of our core locations.
Yes! Our internships are paid and include both an hourly rate and a housing stipend. Compensation may vary by business area.
LPL recruits early career candidates across 15+ business areas, including Technology & Software Development, Data & Analytics, Finance (via the FAR Program), Sales, Client Success, Strategy & Growth, Internal Audit, Operations, and more.
Currently, LPL is unable to consider candidates who require sponsorship (now or in the future) for early career program positions. You will be responsible for providing I-9 documentation during onboarding.
The FAR Program is a two-year, full-time rotational program for new graduates, primarily in Finance, Risk, Compliance, Data Analytics, and other related tracks. Participants rotate across teams, gaining broad exposure to LPL's business, working with senior leaders, and building analytical skills. It also has a summer internship component for current students.
Stay in the loop by visiting our Events and Resources page regularly! We keep it updated with the latest recruiting opportunities, upcoming events, and everything you need to connect with LPL Financial throughout the season. Don't miss your chance to find your next opportunity... check back often!
LPL Financial has three primary hub locations for early career programs: Fort Mill, SC / Charlotte, NC (LPL's Carolina campus), Austin, TX, and Tempe, AZ. Roles are offered on a hybrid schedule (2–3 days in office). Positions may also be available in other LPL office locations. Check individual job postings for specific location details.
Requirements vary by program. Internship candidates should be rising juniors or seniors; full-time roles target graduates with an expected graduation date within the relevant window. Check individual postings for specific majors and eligibility criteria.
Applications open in September through March. Candidates who meet the qualifications may be contacted by a recruiter to discuss their background and interest in the role. The interview process typically includes a phone screen and up to two rounds of interviews. We recommend preparing examples using the STAR and CAR method.
