Meet the People Who Are Making A Difference

At LPL Family Fest, Community Impact partnered with ERGs and Culture & Inclusion to share stories of belonging. Books were donated to San Diego Council on Literacy and Promising Pages. As a leader in the Asian ERG, we proudly selected Drawn Together by Minh Le and Dan Santat. It bridged the generational gap through drawing, a shared language. It was an incredible opportunity to give back and share my culture.

The most meaningful volunteer project that I have done with LPL is serving as a “Buddy” to Special Olympic Athletes in the annual CAMP SOAR event. This is an exciting event that encourages athletes to try new sports and recruit new athletes to participate in Special Olympics. Our work at the Camp is a rewarding experience for both the athletes and volunteers as we are able to leverage the LPL VTO program to make an impact with our time.

Vice President- Finance, Operations, and Risk
Mentorship is the most meaningful volunteer project I have participated in at LPL.  Being able to break up my day by sowing into someone else is priceless. There are many ways to get involved with mentoring at LPL. Sometimes it is just getting to know someone and offering to mentor them, and sometimes it is joining an ERG and supporting others that way. Either way you do it, the value shines through and we learn so much about ourselves and others as we build relationships.
